Amsoil's Ea15k and Ea0 oil filters (especially when combined with Amsoil's ByPass Oil Filters) provide advanced engine protection and extended intervals.
Amsoil's Ea15k and Ea0 premium grade full synthetic media's small fibers are more efficient than the larger fibers in traditional cellulose filters in trapping and holding wear causing contaminants.
Efficiency is defined by industry standard ISO 4548-12 as a filters ability to trap and hold contaminants. Amsoil's Ea15k and Ea0 oil filters 99% rating at 2 microns makes them among the most efficient on the market. Some well known competitors claim a 99% efficiency rating but for larger particles ranging from 30 to 40 microns (see Data Bulletin).
Amsoil's Ea15k and Ea0 oil filters provide better wear protection because their greater efficiency allows the oil to flow more freely with less restriction.
An oil filter's contaminant retention ability refers to the amount of contaminants it can hold and still remain effective. Amsoil's Ea15k and Ea0 oil filters contaminant retention ability are far greater than conventional cellulose filters in that they designed to last up to one year or 15 and 25,000 miles respectively.
